Poke Forecast (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website pokeforecast.com/ (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit or use our Site. By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Voluntarily

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use Poke Forecast tools.

If you contact us by email at support@pokeforecast.com, we will receive the name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message. We only use that information to read and respond to your request.

Card Grader Photos

When you upload photos to the Card Grader tool, the images are used only to analyze the card and return a grading estimate.

Your photos are sent to Anthropic’s AI service for processing so the tool can identify the card, review condition, and estimate a grade. Once the response is returned, the photos are not retained on our servers.

We do not store your submitted card photos.
We do not share them.
We do not use them to train our own models.

Information Collected Automatically

Our analytics tools may record IP addresses for traffic analysis. When you use the Price Predictor or Card Grader tools, we also create a cryptographic hash of your IP address for rate limiting and usage tracking. This hash makes it significantly harder to associate the data with your IP address, but is not a guarantee of perfect anonymity. The hash is used only for rate limiting and counting, never for identification or tracking. If activity logging is enabled for the Card Grader, we may also record the identified card name, set, and overall grade with that anonymized hash. We do not connect this information to your name, email address, or any other personal information.

Browser Local Storage

Our prediction tool uses your browser’s local storage to save your personal watchlist of Pokemon cards. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage or site data in your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: operate and improve the Site and its features; analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve user experience; respond to emails and inquiries you send us; and comply with legal obligations.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Site may incorporate third-party services including Google Analytics (website traffic analysis) and, in the future, Google AdSense (display advertising) and affiliate programs (TCGPlayer, eBay). Each third-party service has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

5. AI Processing Services

The Price Predictor and Card Grader tools use AI processing services provided by Anthropic.

When you use the Price Predictor, we send the card details needed to generate the prediction, such as the card name, set, condition, or grade, along with publicly available market data. We do not send personally identifying information with Price Predictor requests.

When you use the Card Grader, we send the photos you upload so the AI can review the card, identify it, and estimate its condition grade.

Data sent to Anthropic is handled under Anthropic’s privacy practices. Anthropic states that API inputs are not used to train its models by default, but you should review Anthropic’s privacy policy for the most current information.

We do not control how Anthropic processes data after it is sent to their service. If you are not comfortable with AI processing, you can choose not to use the Price Predictor or Card Grader tools. You can still browse the rest of Poke Forecast without using those features.

6. Advertising

We may display third-party advertising on our Site in the future. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve interest-based ads. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. 8. Children’s Privacy

Poke Forecast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We understand that Pokemon trading cards are popular with collectors of all ages, including younger fans. That is why the site is designed to limit personal data collection from every user.

You do not need to create an account to use our tools. We do not collect names or email addresses unless you choose to contact us directly. We also do not offer features aimed at profiling, messaging, social sharing, or building user accounts for children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at support@pokeforecast.com. We will review the request and delete the information promptly.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to or from our Site.

10. Data Retention

We retain server logs and analytics data for up to 26 months. Email correspondence is retained for up to 3 years. You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting support@pokeforecast.com. Card Grader activity logs (anonymized IP hash, identified card name and set, overall grade) are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Photos submitted to the Grader are not retained.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
