Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how PokeForecast (pokeforecast.com/) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website. By continuing to use the Site, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners about how their site is being used.
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for PokeForecast to work properly and cannot be turned off.
They include the session cookies WordPress uses for basic site functionality and security, the cookie that keeps you signed in when you have an account, and cookies used by Stripe when you subscribe to or manage a Pro subscription. Stripe uses these cookies to process payments securely and help detect fraudulent activity.
Without these cookies, features such as signing in and managing payments would not work.
Affiliate Cookies
Some links on PokeForecast lead to retailers we have an affiliate relationship with, including TCGplayer.
When you click one of these links, the retailer may set a cookie that records that the visit came from PokeForecast. If you make a purchase, that cookie is what allows us to receive a commission.
This does not change the price you pay, and the affiliate cookie does not tell us what you purchased. Affiliate links are identified where they appear.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site in aggregate. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized information such as visit frequency, pages viewed, and traffic sources. We use this data to improve the Site. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising Cookies (Future)
We may in the future serve advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior browsing activity across websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool.
Local Storage (Not a Cookie)
Our prediction tool uses your browser’s local storage — not a cookie — to save your personal watchlist. This data is stored only on your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser’s settings (Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data > Cached images and files / Local storage).
Third-Party Cookies
Content embedded on our pages from third-party services (such as YouTube videos, social sharing buttons, or affiliate widgets) may set their own cookies independent of our control. Please refer to those third parties’ cookie policies for details.
How to Control Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Note that disabling certain cookies may affect your experience on our Site and other websites. For more information, visit allaboutcookies.org.
